Astronomy Friday – Comet C2017/K2
Panstarrs C2017/K2 is a comet that will reach perihelion, its closest approach to the sun, in December of this year. It is estimated that the comet has spent millions of years on its trek from the Oort cloud inwards toward the Sun.
