Astronomy Friday – Dwarf Galaxies
Dwarf galaxies are small, containing only a few billion stars, and are usually the result of a collision with another galaxy that has stripped them of galactic material. These two, Leo I in the first photo and Sextans B in the second, are probably at the limits of my equipment and ability. I think they are there because I know where they should be. Can you see them or am I just wishing I can see them? I’ve circled them for you in two photos further below.
