Astronomy Adventure – M104
Messier 104, also known as the Sombrero galaxy, is one of the brighter galaxies, with an apparent magnitude of just under 9. It is located in the constellation Virgo, which is home the Virgo cluster, a large grouping of galaxies. The Virgo Cluster is part of the Virgo Supercluster of which the Milky Way and our Local Group of galaxies is also a part. In this photo, it is the fuzzy in the middle of the picture.
