Astrronomy Adventure – M31, The Andromeda Nebula
Messier 31, the Andromeda Nebula, is the closest major galaxy to our own Milky Way and is expected to collide with our galaxy in another 4 to 5 billion years. In this photo, you can also see Messier 32, a dwarf galaxy, as the slightly fuzzy brightish star below and to the right of Andromeda.
