Astronomy Adventure – M33, The Triangulum Galaxy
Messier 33 is, like the Andromeda galaxy, another member of our Local Group of galaxies and, like M32, is thought to be a satellite galaxy of Andromeda. M33 is a difficult naked eye object under dark skies and especially difficult to see in the light-polluted environment I live in. I have never seen it visually but this 20 second exposure just barely captures a blob of fuzz in the middle between the left and center of the photo. That’s M33. Can you see it?
